The reason they quit making them was because they weren’t selling well since the digital age came in. So I don’t know why they would start making them again. I agree that they are fun to use, but the quality of the pictures is not that good, in my opinion, and the cost of the film packs is way too expensive. Who wants to pay $2 for each print?
A digital camera and a personal printer are so much more fun! You can print only the ones that are good and you really want. Plus regular photo paper is so much better than the paper in those instant cameras.
Due to demand from police, insurance and similar fields (who were fairly dependent on Polaroid instant cameras) after the termination of Polaroid’s instant film, Fujifilm will be releasing their Instax instant camera and film line in the US starting later this month.
(Note that the Fujifilm integral system, Instax, is not directly compatible with Polaroid equipment, it is a seperate film & camera system)
